Our Summer term's theme is '1066', which has a heavy history theme. English themed activities over the term will include a piece of narrative writing, written from the perspective of someone who was involved in the battle, and diary work.
Over the term children will participate in class reading lessons, focusing on specific skills.
Weekly spelling sessions will continue from Tuesday-Thursday.
There is an expectation that children will read at home daily, either with an adult or independently and record their journey in their reading records. Spellings will be given weekly and tested weekly. Maths homework is linked to the unit being followed in class and will be sent home on Friday.
P.E. kits need to be kept in school all the time in the event of an unexpected time-tabling change.
Please don't hesitate to speak with one of us at the end of the school day if you have any concerns or issues.
We want the children to have an exciting, happy and productive term. If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to come and see me after school.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Nash and Year 3 Team.
