School Uniform
At Sacred Heart we believe that our uniform encourages a sense of pride in appearance and a feeling of belonging to the school family. Reasonabale adjustments for children with additional needs can made. Please discuss these with your child's class teacher in the first instance.
Uniform items are available from our on-line supplier, Nationwide School Uniforms, and samples of jumper and cardigans are available in the school for you to try on your child. Please make an appointment with the office.
The following uniform was agreed after consultation with parents:
Water bottles, school ties and descant recorders are purchased by placing an online order via Wisepay.

Reception
There are a few exceptions to the above uniform for these children. We would suggest that Reception children wear short-sleeved white shirts instead of those with buttoned cuffs.
Jewellery and Watches
- In general, jewellery is not allowed. Religious items (rosary beads, crucifix, etc.) are permitted, but your child needs to be able to remove these whilst they are participating in PE.
- If ears are pierced, one small pair of plain studs is acceptable (though not encouraged).
- Watches (analogue or digital) may be worn; smart watches are not permitted.
- All jewellery must be removed for PE lessons by the child themselves.
General appearance
- Hair neat and one natural colour (no coloured braids, but braids of natural hair colour are permitted).
- Hair accessories in school colours only (red, grey, white, black or hair-coloured).
- Make-up is not permitted, including tinted lip balm/gloss, coloured/fake nails or perfume.
- Daily deodorant/antiperspirant is encouraged for older children.
General
All children should have a pair of wellingtons or an additional pair of suitable outdoor shoes in school for winter outdoor play.
We would urge you to name all items of uniform as it is almost impossible to trace the owners otherwise.
We do not hold an official ‘lost property’ box.
