Message from Mr Cooper
Thank you all for your patience and understanding over the last 24hrs. It has been a very challenging day, but we have achieved a great deal in a short space of time.
For those families who have requested a 'Critical Worker' place, you will all have been contacted directly about the provision for your child and what arrangements will be in place for them. We have had a very high number of requests for critical worker
places, much higher than last time. I must urge all families to only attend school if you have no other childcare arrangements; remember the government's message is STAY AT HOME.
If you have not received a critical worker letter, then your child will be remotely learning for the next period of time. Your child must engage with all aspects of remote learning to ensure that when we all return to school; they can resume their face-to-face learning in the strongest possible position. To support the remote learning process, you will be contacted at least once a week by a member of staff to answer any queries you may have. Also, your child's teacher will provide you with session by session feedback to ensure that all learning is completed to the highest possible standard. I know from first-hand experience how challenging home learning can be, but it is essential that your child's learning continues during this period of school closure.
For those families eligible for Free School Meals, we are making our final arrangements and more information about this will be shared tomorrow.
Finally, the school office will be open as usual if you have any queries during this time.
Thank you all once again for your continued support. Please take care, follow the government advice, and hopefully, we will welcome everyone back to Sacred Heart very soon.
